His loyalty to the Antichrist was someone else's gift, but his devotion to Copia has been his own.

Cᴀɴ ʜɪs ɴᴏsᴇ ʙᴇ ᴘɪᴇʀᴄᴇᴅ ʙʏ ʜᴏᴏᴋs?" - As a prominent, long-time fixture of the Ghost project under Copia's leadership, Behemoth settled comfortably in the pantomime of humanity and relented to the nickname "Aether" so as to bring his own touch to the traditional elemental role of Spirit that the band's rhythm guitarists were meant to embody. (Music, so it turns out, not only soothes, but absolutely delights the savage beast!)

Despite his retirement from the band, he still considers himself responsible for Copia and the demons in Copia's service. (And maintains his threat of control over Beleth by continuing to wear its commanding silver rings on the middle finger of each hand. >:})
